What’s a Health Coach and what do they do?
A Health Coach is a wellness professional whose main role is to guide clients to reach their health and wellness goals, whether related to sleep, energy, weight loss, stress, or much more. Health Coaches create a safe space for clients to explore their health, facilitating behavior and lifestyle changes that can be sustained for the long term.

Why do I need a Health Coach?
Health Coaches take a holistic approach to health, focusing not just on food but also all the other areas of life that can support and nourish overall health, such as career, spirituality, relationships, and environment among others. Using their nutrition, holistic health, and coaching education, Health Coaches help their clients discover which foods and lifestyle choices make them feel best.

What’s the difference between Health Coach, a Nutritionist and a Personal Trainer?
Nutritionist and a Personal Trainer?
While they overlap to some degree, there are some significant differences between these three positions.
Health Coaches focus on the whole person. They spend more time with their clients building a connection and trust to support lasting habits.
Nutritionists focus wholly on diet.
Personal Trainers are more focused on fitness, weight and body composition goals. -
Can a Health Coach replace a doctor?
No, Health Coaches are not a replacement for a doctor. They can work in conjunction with them for the best health results of a client. Health coaches do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, interpret medical results, and write food plans.

Do you work 1:1 or groups?
Health Coaches can work with clients one-on-one, in group settings, or alongside healthcare professionals, such as medical doctors, chiropractors, therapists, and nurses, as well as other professionals in wellness, such as personal trainers, registered dietitians, and nutritionists. This depends on the preference of the client. Some prefer to be alone and others prefer a group setting to keep motivated.

I know you follow a Whole Foods Plant Based diet (WFPB), do you try to convert people to follow the same diet?
No, I don’t ask you to follow any specific diet but I will suggest trying a variety of meals in order to know your body and how you feel after eating them.

What is a Whole Foods Plant Based diet (WFPB) anyway?
It is a diet that only includes the following groups: whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables and nuts and seeds in small portions.

What kind of diet do you recommend in your program?
I don’t have any particular diet that I recommend. It depends on several factors like your ancestry, upbringing, what your body needs, lifestyle, etc.

Why 12 sessions?
It is a reasonable time to implement the recommendations from your health coach and start forming habits that will last.

Do I really see results?
Yes, It is important to have accountability and follow the plan so you can be successful and see results. You need to make an effort not just because you pay somebody to help you to improve your lifestyle you will see results without putting effort.

Is this program just for women?
I mainly work with women but I have successfully worked with men.
